From the Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation:
On March 8th, our Director, Alissa Bronsteen, and our Director of Research, Dr. Demitri Papolos, will have a lively, easy to understand discussion about these issues with Maiken Scott, host for the radio show Voices in the Family which airs on WHYY(90.9), the Philadelphia affiliate of NPR.
Specifically, they will talk about:
- the inherent shortcomings of the diagnostic manual
- the recently proposed diagnosis that will purportedly correct for the mistaken over-diagnosis of pediatric bipolar disorder, and
- a new perspective of the illness as clarified in the research supported by JBRF.
